PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single reel type magnetic tape cartridge which has a leader tape on the supply end of a magnetic tape and prevents a restraint piece disposed on the connection part of the leader tape from being damaged when the tape is rewound. SOLUTION: A stopper 13 receiving the restraint piece 12 is disposed inside a tape drawing port 5 of main body case 1. The stopper 13 is composed of holders 15 which are integrally disposed on the upper and lower inner surfaces of the main body case 1 and a buffer body 16 supported by respective holders 15. When the restraint piece 12 comes into collision with the stopper 13, the buffer body 16 made of elastic material is elastically deformed and the collision impact is absorbed and reduced.
