<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of waveform distortion caused in each path so as to enhance excellent RAKE reception performance and realize mobile communication with high quality even under a deteriorated wireless transmission enviroment. <P>SOLUTION: A unit 101 for demodulating a signal in a maximum path is provided with an adaptive equalizer 117 and a selection switch 116 among a plurality of units 101, 102,... configuring fingers in a RAKE receiver.
