PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible printed circuit board capable of preventing its forefront from being turned up through a simple installing operation. SOLUTION: The connector for the flexible printed circuit board is equipped with a base table 21 having a placing surface whereon the flexible circuit board 40 is placed and a cover frame 30 covering the placing surface of the table and having an opening 32 at which the conductors of the circuit board are exposed, wherein the circuit board 40 is held pinchedly by the table 21 and cover frame 30, and the forefront of the circuit board 40 is contacted by pressure fast to the placing surfaces 24a and 25a by a pressing piece 33a of the cover frame. This eliminates the risk of poor connecting workmanship such that the forefront of the circuit board is turned up when this connector 20 is to be inserted into another connector to generate poor connections.
