PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve an access point to receive data of a higher communication quality. SOLUTION: The access point retrieving method comprises steps of: retransmitting data to a first initially set access point from a radio LAN terminal (NO in step 903), if no answer signal is transmitted to the first access point even after a specified time lapsed; comparing the communication condition at the present access point with the communication quality at other access points (step 906), if an answer signal is sent as the result of the retransmission to the first access point (NO in step 904); and taking an access point determined to be in the best communication condition as a new access point of the radio LAN terminal (step 907).
