PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication device which transmits a bus reset signal before switching off the power supply. SOLUTION: This is a data communication device which is connected with the other device of communication through a cable. It has a printer control unit 100 which controls the data communication device, a power supply control unit 300 which includes a power supply circuit 301 which provides power with the data communication device, and a communication control unit which conducts communication control with the other device. The printer control part 100 indicates the transmission of a signal that shows the change of the power supplying condition against the communication control unit 200 when it has received a change request of the power which the power supply means 301 is providing from the power supply control unit 300.
