<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize uniform illumination by preventing a bright line from being generated, and to miniaturize and lighten a surface light source device by widening an effective utilization region of a light emitting surface. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting surface pressing part 34 and a light guiding plate striking part 33 are formed at the tip of the light emitting surface side holding part 31 of a reflector 10 by being continuously bent. These light emitting surface pressing part 34 and light guiding plate striking part 33 are engaged with a light guiding plate 4 so as to cover the upper edge 36 of the light guiding plate 4. The plane of incidence 7 of the light guiding plate 4 is pressed against the light guiding plate striking part 33 of the reflector 10, and the plane of incidence 7 of the light guiding plate 4 is positioned relative to a fluorescent lamp 8. As a result, the upper edge 36 of the light guiding plate 4 is shaded by the reflector 10, and a bright line caused by light entering into the inside of the light guiding plate 4 from the upper edge 36 is prevented from being generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
