<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out management of learning without inconsistency between on-line learning and off-line learning in a computer-aided learning system. <P>SOLUTION: In the education system, educational contents are stored in a server and learning history of each user is managed by a database connected to the server. When a user is learning on-line, the learning history is managed by the database in real time, and when a user is learning off-line, the learning history stored in a reproduction terminal used for learning is transferred to the server when the learning state turns on-line to update the database.
