<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a transmission rate controller capable of transmitting a packet group from which burst performance or temporal fluctuation is removed. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission rate controller is provided with n (n is a natural number which is 1 or more) pieces of input interfaces for receiving frames successively transmitted from a network device (20), n pieces of storage devices (22) respectively connected to those respective input interfaces, a control signal generation device (23) for generating a control signal for regulating a timing in which frames stored in those storage devices (22) are transmitted from the storage devices, and output interfaces respectively connected to those respective storage devices. In transmitting the frames stored in those storage devices (22), time slots are regulated based on the frame length, inter-frame gap length, and frame transmission fluctuation allowable length so that the frames stored in the storage devices can be outputted by a time-division multiplex system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
