PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated ceramic electronic component that can be improved in reliability. SOLUTION: This laminated ceramic electronic component is provided with an elemental ceramic body 2 composed of a plurality of ceramic layers 2a, and internal electrodes 3 formed among the ceramic layers 2a and containing nickel as the main component. This electronic component is also provided with external electrodes 4 formed on the end faces of the ceramic body 2 to electrically connect the internal electrodes 3 to the outside, containing copper as the main component, and having an iron compound. The electrodes 3 have projecting sections 3a formed of the iron compound and protruded toward the external electrodes 4 from the end faces of the ceramic body 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
