PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a connector housing from being left in the middle of mounting on a panel. SOLUTION: A detection member 50 movable between a standby position shown on the right side and a mounting detection position shown on the left side is built in a male housing 20 mounted on the panel P. The detection member 50, which is provided with a mounting detection part 54, is controlled to move from the standby position to the mounting detection position in the middle of the mounting of the male housing 20 on the panel P by causing the mounting detection part 54 to interfere with the inner periphery of a mounting hole H, and is allowed to move to the mounting detection position in a normal mounting state by causing the mounting detection part 54 not to interfere with it. The detection member 50, which is provided with an engagement detection part 58, is controlled to move from the mounting detection position to the standby position in the middle of the engagement of both housings 10 and 20 by causing the engagement detection part 58 to interfere with a rib 18 on the male housing 10, and is allowed to move to the standby position in a normal engagement state by causing the engagement detection part 58 not to interfere with it.
