PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of enhancing the handling easiness of a drawing tool. SOLUTION: The tip of a lance 12 serves as a slipoff prevention part 13 to prevent a terminal metal piece 21 from slipping off, and a tool abutting part 14 is formed beside the slipoff prevention part 13, and the drawing tool J is put in slide contact with the tool abutting part 14 to cause the lance 12 to make an elastic deflection so as to separate from the terminal metal piece 21, and disengages the slipoff prevention. The forefront 14F of the tool abutting part 14 is located behind the forefront 13F of the slipoff prevention part 13, compared with the conventional arrangement in which the two are arranged in the same location. Accordingly in the process of inserting the drawing tool J, this has a shorter slide contact stroke involving a friction resistance between the drawing tool J and the tool abutting part 14, to result in a smaller friction resistance generally which assures excellent working easiness.
