SYNCHRONIZATION CAPTURE CIRCUIT, SYNCHRONIZAITON CAPTURE METHOD, AND RECEIVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability for synchronization capture and to decrease the time required for the synchronization capture.

SOLUTION: A correlation value detection section 21 outputs a correlation value between a received spread spectrum signal SS and a PN code at a receiver side. A peak detection section 22 outputs a correlation value PK greater than a prescribed threshold value among correlation values from the correlation value detection section 21. A selector 23 gives a start signal to one of counters CT1 to CTn in response to each of the correlation values PK from the peak detection section 22. The counters CT1 to CTn start their operations in response to the start signals ST1 to STn from the selector 23 and output pulse signals CP1 to CPn by each period of the PN code. AND circuits AD1 to ADn output the logical products of the pulse signal CP1 to CPn from the counters CT1 to CTn and the correlation values PK from the peak display section 22. An OR circuit 24 outputs the logical sum of outputs M1 to Mn of the AND circuits AD1 to ADn as a synchronization capture signal SDT.
