<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell abandoning device which prevents such a setting to abandon even cells to be at least secured when a PPD threshold is changed in abandoning cells in a cell buffer 11. <P>SOLUTION: A first threshold for deciding the quantity of cells which can be inputted to a cell buffer 11 and a second threshold for independently deciding the quantity of cells to be at least secured in the cell buffer 11 regardless of the first threshold are set. The quantity of cells stored in the cell buffer 11 is monitored by a cell storage quantity monitoring part 21, and when a judging part 50 judges that the quantity of the cell storage exceeds the first threshold stored in the first threshold memory 40, the cells stored between the first threshold and the second threshold are abandoned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
