PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion apparatus and a color conversion method in which a desired color conversion can be performed without painted- out color. SOLUTION: In the color conversion method, second color data corresponding to first color data presenting a plurality of colors comprising a color image are created by converting the hue, lightness and/or saturation of the first color data and third color data suited to a color space expressible for an image output means for outputting the color image are created on the basis of the second color data.
