PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector embodied in a small size by enabling a lance to serve also as a bulkhead between cavities, in which both a reverse insertion restricting projection and the lance are located near the forefront. SOLUTION: The connector is embodied in a small size by allowing the lance 17 to serve also as bulkhead 20 between the cavities 20, in which the reverse insertion restricting projection 46 is arranged as not making interference with the lance 17, so that there is no risk of the projection 46 interfering with a lance 17 in the adjacent cavity 11 even if both the projection 46 and lance 17 are located near the forefront and also they are arranged in distribution on the opposing surfaces to each other. This arrangement in which the two members 46 and 17 are located near the forefront enables reducing the inserting resistance and early detecting of reverse insertion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
