Clathrates of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) or of DHEA sulphate, in a matrix consisting of -, â- or y-cyclodextrin characterised by containing a co-solubilisation agent selected from the group comprising an amino acid, crospovidone, polyethylene glycol 4000, cellulose, carboxymethyl cellose, carboxymethyl cellulose, starch, tartaric acid, succinic acid, and glutaric acid, and to the corresponding pharmaceutical compositions suitable for replacement therapy for the treatment of adrenocortical insufficiency, adrenopausal disorders, hypogonadim and xerophtalmia.
