A window lifter device of a vehicle door comprises a cable winding drum (3); casing (1) having a housing (2) that accommodates the cable winding drum; and seal attached to the casing. The cable-winding drum turns inside the housing about a rotational axis. The seal has a stop portion that prevents translation of the cable-winding drum along the rotational axis. An Independent claim is also included for a method of assembling a vehicle door comprising: (i) placing a cable winding drum in a housing of a casing such that the drum can rotate about a rotational axis; (ii) attaching a seal to the casing where the seal holds the drum in the housing; (iii) winding a cable onto the drum; (iv) placing a dividing panel against the seal; (v) coupling a geared motor to the drum; and (vi) fixing a box associated with the geared motor to the casing, where the dividing panel and the seal are held between the box and the casing. The seal holds the drum in the housing. It has a stop portion that prevents translation of the drum along the rotational axis.
