PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an image processing method, an image processor and an image recorder which solves some incongruities, based on a factor other than the geometrical factors of an image taken with a tilt angle, thereby giving desirable impressions to a viewer. SOLUTION: For a downward tilt angle of the optical axis to the horizon at photographing, the camera is set so as to emphasize contrast, sharpness and chroma, according to information of the tilt angle of the optical axis to the horizon detected at photographing. For an upward tilt angle of the optical axis to the horizon at photographing, the camera is set so as to de-emphasize the contrast of an object but to emphasize the sharpness and the chroma. Thus a non-geometric transforming image processing is made to correct the causes of the incongruities of the image taken with a tilt angle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
