PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the confidentiality of data recorded in a camera is not guaranteed, if the camera is lost or the camera is unattended with the recorded data preserved therein, as they are. SOLUTION: An imaging device which comprises the camera 1 and a camera data transfer device 18 connectable and removable to/from the camera 1 and also connected to a predetermined system, and transfers data from the camera 1 to the system via the camera data transfer device 18, is made unusable if the camera 1 and the camera data transfer device 18 are not the predetermined pair.
