<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient portable terminal, information distribution system, information distributing method, merchandise ordering system, and merchandise ordering method for enabling a user to easily watch information about merchandise exhibited on an advertisement and purchase the merchandise exhibited on the advertisement when the user is interested in the advertisement. <P>SOLUTION: Communication equipment installed in accordance with an advertisement is inquired about information about the advertisement.
