<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of a sturdy and extra thin construction. <P>SOLUTION: The connector 1 is composed of a metal plate 2 to serve as a base member, a rubber piece 3 laminated on the metal plate, and a film 4 surrounding the metal plate central part and the rubber. A pair of protruding lock parts 2A are formed at the ends on one side of the metal plate, and one protruding lock part 2B is formed in the center of the other side. A conductive pattern 4A formed on the film includes a terminal part 4A1 to be connected with a printed circuit board 6 and a contacting part 4A2 to be connected with another connector as the mating party. The film is fixed to the metal plate central part and rubber by adhesive or a two-side sticky tape. When the mating connector is fitted to this connector, the contacting part of the mating connector contacts the contacting part of this connector, and the lock parts of the connector and the single lock part lock resiliently the single lock part of the mating connector and the lock parts in pair, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
