PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exclude a contact by reducing the weight of a charger in a cordless apparatus. SOLUTION: This cordless apparatus is equipped with a body 101, which has a step-down chopper circuit 106 having a choke coil 120 and an accumulating element 105, and a charger 102, which has a DC power source 133, an exciting coil 142, and a second switching element 140, and this exciting coil 142 is coupled magnetically with the choke coil 120 at charging. Hereby, a cordless apparatus, which enables charging without a contact and further is light-weight, can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
