PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical battery case capable of surely reducing the internal resistance of a battery when used for the battery, capable of obtaining expected battery characteristics after preservation, not generating cracks when formed into a can by DI processing, and to provide a cylinder-shaped battery using the same. SOLUTION: The cylindrical battery can 1 has an external shape of bottomed cylinder, and a plurality of protruded line shaped parts 4, protruding in the direction of thickness so as to make the thickness of an inner surface 3 of the case side thick, made to linearly extended, are formed to the inner surface 3 of a peripheral wall 2 in parallel with each other in spiral form.
