<p>A collision detection method for polygonal objects using OpenGL is provided, comprising detecting [301] bounding boxes of a plurality of polygonal objects that intersect with a global bounding box of a reference object, detecting [302] bounding boxes of the reference object that intersect with the bounding boxes found in the previous step, generating [303] a list of all polygons of the reference object that have potential collisions with an object in the scene, generating [304] a list of all the polygons of the objects that interest with the bounding boxes of the reference object, determining [305] intersections for each polygon of the reference object with all polygons of the plurality of polygonal objects, updating [306] bounding volumes with the object's deformation, if any.</p> |
