To produce bonded sandwich materials of different components, e.g. wood and metal and plastics and recycled matter, a fusible adhesive (4) is applied to the lower layer (1) by heated rollers (2, 3). When the adhesive is applied at 146-160degreesC, little heat is dispersed into the material layer. The lower and upper layers (1, 5) are then passed through mangle rollers (6), to press them together for bonding.
