The invention concerns a method for storing a plurality of data blocks in a rewriteable digital memory with semiconductors monitored by a memory manager, characterized by the following steps: randomly determining an available zone, storing the data block in the thus selected zone. Said data storage method is particularly applicable to smart cards and to like electronic modules. It prevents reproduction of the capabilities of the card following analysis of the memory content. Moreover, it ensures better distribution of the memory wear.
