The bra (1), which can in particular be worn in sports, comprises two u-shaped supporting bows (2). The transversal segment of the U of the new design of a bow is slightly off-center and points away from the thorax of the wearer in order to provide a special lifting support. The horizontal as well as the vertical forces created by the weight of the breasts in particular when running or jumping are compensated by the specific shape of the supporting wires (2).
