Food product comprises a pharmacologically relevant additive homogeneously dispersed in a non-liquid starting material with a water content of up to 75%. An independent claim is also included for a food product containing a pharmacologically relevant additive, produced by: (1) freezing a predetermined amount of a starting paste or dough and a carrier containing a predetermined amount of the additive; (2) comminuting the frozen materials to a predetermined particle size; and (3) mixing the frozen materials to produce a homogeneous mixture.
