<p>A suitably profiled former is fixed under the press on which the chipboard article is set. A pair of pivotted side presses are located with their rounded upper ends in line with the face of the main press, and having their inner faces profiled to match exactly the shape of the sides of the article. The veneer is laid over the article and pressure applied from the top, and from the sides as the side presses swing downwards and inwards. If necessary the presses and formers may be heated.</p> |
