The invention concerns materials with high barrier properties, particularly materials comprising a thermoplastic matrix and a filler and still more particularly materials with high barrier property hereafter called barrier materials, comprising a thermoplastic matrix and a filler dispersed in the form of nanoparticles with high aspect ratio. More particularly, the invention concerns the use of zirconium or titanium phosphate as nanoparticulate filler.
