A trolley for moving a warp roll between storage and loom has a shallow, curved tray on tilt and raise supports to move between a raised transport position and various transfer positions. The tray has infinite position control between the transport position and a position where the outer edge is tangential to the ground. The tilt and raise control uses several servo cylinders and telescopic supports. The transfer can also be effected at an intermediate height, e.g. to transfer between the trolley and a storage rack.
