The cardboard packing (1) for labels (4) has an outer casing (2) in which fits an inner tray-form holder (3) for the stacked labels. The outer casing is open on one end side and the holder on the same end side of the packing has a tear-off end surface (7). Locking elements are provided on the outer casing and/or on the holder in such a way that the holder is prevented against movement in the direction of its tear-off end surface inside the casing. The casing in the wall which covers the open side of the holder has a ventilation opening (9).
