A system with a relation-holding database 23 for managing only the relation between records with actual data remaining in existing databases 21, 22 is provided with buffer memories 26, 27 for caching related data on computers 24, 25 which provide user application services based on database. For the acquisition of data related with each other from the existing databases 21, 22 to the computers 24, 25, related data are acquired from own cache memories 26, 27 of the computers 24, 25 to save the labor of retieving the relation-holding database 23 in detail.
