The aim of the invention is to increase the cost effectiveness of an anthraquinone method for the production of hydrogen peroxide comprising a hydrogenating step, an oxidation step and an extraction step. According to t he invention, the oxidation waste gas exiting from the oxidation reactor at an excess pressure is guided as a propulsion jet to one or more gas emitters an d a vacuum is produced for auxiliary processes, such as drying the working solution, distillation of the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution and suction of respiratory gases by solvent storage tanks.
