Tin is recovered by electrolytic action from hard tin and upper slag derived from tin flame plating. Anodes of required dimensions are prepared from hard tin and upper slag, and placed in the electrolytic vat. When these are connected as anodes, then their tin metallic content will form an aqueous solution. Tin separates from the optionally purified solution at the cathode. |
