摘要 To fit and remove drill rods (22) at a horizontal drilling assembly, a manipulator (10) has moving pipe grips (18-20) which can be given a variety of translatory, rotary and angular movements. The grips are fitted to a jib (14) at a manipulator pillar (12), to ride in a guide (17) which can swing at right angles to the drill rod being handled.
