A voltage sensing section (11a) and a current sensing section (11b) sense a voltage and a current to be supplied to a motor (5), and the sensed voltage and current values are supplied to a position sensing section (12). An angular velocity outputted from the position sensing section (12) is supplied to a differentiator (13) to output an angular acceleration. A fundamental wave component extracting section (14) extracts the fundamental wave component of the angular acceleration, and supplies the extracted component to an amplitude adjusting section (15). A subtracting section (16) subtracts the output of the amplitude adjusting section (15) from an average current command. As the result of this subtraction, a current sensing value and data on rotor position from the position sensing section (12) to a current control section (17) to execute current control operation. A current command is supplied to an inverter (4) to control the voltage and the current so as to suppress a variation in velocity due to the variation in load torque. Thus, stability is enhanced, and cost-down is achieved. |
