PURPOSE: A method for obtaining an MAC address using mobile ARP(Address Resolution Protocol) cash in a mobile IP network is provided to transmit an IP packet by an MAC address of a mobile host, which is stored in the mobile ARP cash of a subnet host like the mobile host, thereby reducing load of a network in accordance with a proxy ARP and a gratuitous ARP packet. CONSTITUTION: An HA(Home Agent) receives information that at least one mobile host is out of a home network(S300). The HA transmits a mobile ARP request command to other host of a subnet like the mobile host which is out of the home network(S301). The other host of the subnet inputs an address of the HA to a mobile host entry of self mobile ARP cash(S302). The other host of the subnet sets a mobile flag to 1(S303). The other host of the subnet stores an MAC address of the mobile host as an MAC address of the HA, and transmits an IP packet(S304).
