<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting device for an outboard engine having sufficient strength and improving handling property by reducing the weight of an independent member. <P>SOLUTION: This tilting device for the outboard engine has a cylinder storage part 38 for tilting operation; a mounting part (a clamp piece 39 and mounting pieces 41, 42) to a hull; and a sliding part (a slider 43) for a tilt bracket mounted with the outboard engine. The cylinder storage part 38, at least part of the mounting parts 39, 41, 42 and the sliding part 43 are integrally formed. The mounting part to the hull is thereby formed integrally at the cylinder storage part itself, so that mounting to the hull can be performed without interposing a clamp bracket which is the independent member, or reducing the weight of the independent member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
