PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance traveling safety of one's own vehicle by automatically and actively reducing the time period or the possible opportunity when the one's own vehicle is positioned in a dead angle area of a driver of the other vehicle. SOLUTION: When continuously detecting an object on the side of the traveling vehicle of one's own, the object can be estimated as traveling in parallel to the one's own vehicle. Such a case can be estimated as being large in the possibility that the vehicle of one's own is continuously positioned in the dead angle area of the driver of the other vehicle (the object). In such a case, the vehicle of one's own can be allowed to actively and positively escape from the dead angle area of the driver of the other vehicle by controlling a speed of a vehicle speed of one's own vehicle in the direction increasing the absolute value of a relative speed of the other vehicle and the vehicle of one's own.
