PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple slot-in type CD case which a CD can rapidly be inserted into and taken out of through forming the CD case into a slot-in type. SOLUTION: The main body of the slot-in type CD case is provided with an insertion slot 2 for inserting the CD 10. This main body is equipped with both side surfaces 3, 3 having tapered grooves 4, 4 for preventing the damage of CD caused while the CD 10 is inserted, on the inner side of the surfaces 3, 3, a tapered groove 4b at the bottom thereof, stoppers 7, 7 for securing the CD 10 inside the slot-in type CD case, a slit 9 extending from the center of the side plate 5 thereof to the edge of the insertion slot 2. The CD is inserted along the tapered grooves 4, 4 on both the sides through the insertion slot 2 and stored inside the CD case, and the CD is taken out along the slit 9 by moving a finger inserted into the central hole of the CD.
