PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator quickly defrosting a cooler for the refrigerator easy to be frosted according to load amount and shortening defrosting time, in the refrigerator having a plurality of coolers. SOLUTION: ON/OFF signals of a temperature sensor 25 installed in the first cooler and a compressor 16 are inputted into a control device 28 provided in a heat insulating box body (refrigerator main body). Based on the signals, a first blower 20 and a first defrosting heater 13, etc., are controlled. When a detected temperature of the temperature sensor 25 is below a set temperature (0°C, for instance) when the compressor 16 is stopped except a defrosting control, the temperature is detected again by the temperature sensor 25. When the detected temperature is below the set temperature (0°C, for instance), abnormal adhesion of frost to the first cooler is judged.
