PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a radiation clinical thermometer having a conventional arrangement is arranged so that a chopper is driven continuously from the point of time of power source supply until the finish time of measurement, thereby requiring much unnecessary power consumption. SOLUTION: This radiation clinical thermometer has an AD conversion means 19 for AD-converting a signal of an infrared sensor 10, a voltage switching means 20 for switching a reference voltage of the AD conversion means 19 corresponding to a room temperature by a signal from a sensor temperature detection means 11, and the chopper 14, in the thermometer, a chopper driving means 15 for driving the shopper 14 is driven only when the body temperature is measured. Hereby, the economical radiation clinical thermometer dispensing with unnecessary power consumption, capable of reducing the room temperature influence and highly-accurate body temperature measurement is provided.
