PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely ignite a burner with simple work in forming flame on the burner. SOLUTION: This ignition device has: an igniting burner 3 having an igniting electrode 9 adjacently disposed to the burner 2; an ignition control member 7 having a fuel gas passage 11 for feeding a fuel gas to the burner 2, a combustion-supporting gas passage 12 for feeding a combustion-supporting gas and an ignition gas passage 14 for feeding an igniting gas to the igniting burner 3, and composed by forming a valve block 10 equipped, on the respective passages, with a fuel gas valve 4, a combustion-supporting gas valve 5 and an ignition gas valve 6 for opening and closing the respective passages, and used for controlling the igniting electrode 9 provided for the valve block 10; and an operation lever 8 for operating the respective valves 4-6 and the control member 7.
