PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively shield a sound with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The silencer has a pair of partition plates 10, 20 arranged opposed to each other. A plurality of projections 15, 25, projecting toward the opposed partition plates, of which end surfaces are opened by holes 15a, 25a penetrating through front and back surfaces of the partition plate are formed on a pair of partition plates 10, 20 respectively. The silencer has a structure having a gap between end surfaces of a plurality of projections 15 of the first partition plate 10 and an end surface of the second partition plate 20.
