摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an internal combustion engine which of controls, with high responsibility, cooling water temperature of the internal combustion engine for target cooling water temperature even if an operation state of the internal combustion engine is varied and cooling loss heat value is varied. SOLUTION: An electronic control unit (ECU) 35 calculates the cooling loss heat value which is a heat value deprived from an engine body 12 to cooling water based of the operation state of an engine 11. A request passing amount (a request radiator flow rate) in a radiator 22 of cooling water to make a target engine outlet water temperature (target cooling water temperature) of engine outlet water temperature (cooling water temperature) is calculated based on the cooling loss heating value, the target engine outlet water temperature, and the radiator outlet water temperature. Opening of a flow control valve 26 is controlled based on the request radiator outlet water temperature. The opening of the flow control valve 26 is varied by the control, the flow rate of the cooling water passing through the radiator 22 is adjusted, and the engine outlet water temperature is converged on the target engine outlet water temperature.
