PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of adjusting an interval between both ends of a thimble for a wire rope. SOLUTION: The machine is constituted of a hydraulic cylinder, a pair of thimble receiving rollers arranged so as to face the cylinder and two kinds of pressing molds to be attached to the cylinder. One of the pressing molds is the pressing mold for extending a thimble end, in which the tip part is formed in a wedge form. The other pressing mold is a pressing mold for reducing a thimble end, which has a boring space at the tip end. Boring faces at both the end parts of the boring space have inclinations gradually narrowing spaces toward the interior. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
