PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion-type, pressure-sensitive adhesive that retains the adhesive force in a certain range, prevents remaining of the adhesive on the substrate, breaking of the substrate, etc., on peeling, and does not easily cause surface clouding of the adherend, when heated or kept standing for a long time after the application. SOLUTION: An alkyl (meth)acrylate (B) having a 1-12C alkyl group is subjected to emulsion polymerization in the presence of an ethylene - vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene - vinyl acetate-(meth)acrylate copolymer (A) with a reactive emulsifier, wherein the amount of the alkyl (meth)acrylate (B) is 100-2,000 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the copolymer (A).
