PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a producing cost of an extruded material so as to be possible to realize high cooling speed without needing an expensive cooling control device, in a cooling method when an aluminum alloy is extrusion-pressed and quenched. SOLUTION: In the method for cooling the aluminum alloy extruded material so as to perform the cooling for quenching to the extruded material 8 composed of the aluminum alloy heated and extrusion-formed, plural kinds of working fluids having different latent heats of vaporization, are separately blasted to the extruded material 8 in plurality of ranges to cool this extruded material 8.
