PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake with a simple constitution in a vehicle such as a truck and a wheelchair. SOLUTION: In the brake mechanism, a pair of turnable brake shoes 30 buttable to front and rear sides of a rear wheel 3b is mounted to a base 10a mounted to a base plate 1a or the like. Wire pins 41 are mounted to an end of a pair of brake shoes 30. A wire 40 is connected between these wire pins 41 in such a state that it is inserted with a spring 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
